Another year and another trip to one of my all-time favorite cities - Vancouver. It is about a three hour drive north from Seattle to reach Vancouver. We decided to go between Becky's birthday on April 5th and mine on the 26th (my last birthday in my 30's!). The weather was coolish, but we were lucky the rain stayed away (well, for the most part).

Our hotel had a nice view of the north harbor, overlooking the float plane area and the North Vancouver area. After a breakfast that could feed a small nation we set off for the excellent aquarium. We saw the dolphin show and then the beluga whale show along with the many other exhibits. Saddly, one of the beluga's had died from the last time we saw them 2 years ago.

Time to shop a little (something Vancouver is known for, especially Robson Street). We finish the day by eating at one Vancouver's hottest establishments - Stefos. The wait was "only" about 45 minutes, but we met a couple from North Vancouver who made the minutes tick by fast...Especially for Sonja. The first night we ate at one of the rotating restaurants, which happened to be in the hotel we stayed at. Great view of the city and the sound, but a little pricy.

Next morning a little more shopping at the Granville Market and then time to point the Volvo south to Sammamish. The border took about an hour to get through, but finally we made it back.

Another nice trip to Vancouver.
